"I'm unavailable in 2025"
That's what my client promised herself last night in our coaching session. She's making a commitment to herself to stop giving her energy away to others, keep her boundaries tight, and put herself first. And as I journaled on this afterward, I realized I was immensely proud of her for saying this out loud, and the realisation dawned on me that I haven't been doing the same thing enough.
Over the past year, I've practiced the art of detachment. I recognized in 2023 that I needed to remove myself from co-dependency on personal validation from work (any workaholics reading this are gonna feel this one too) and recover from high amounts of stress experienced for a really long time. But, I've let things slip and old habits sure do die hard.
It's a journey I am still on, and one I take into 2025 as I work out my career moves and what matters to me. And that's the thing, your healing journey and your inner work will take as long as it needs to take. If you're working through something similar, I've got some top tips:
⭐ Take your time. There is no timeline for healing.
⭐ Treat yourself with grace and kindness. Healing takes longer in toxic environments, make sure you are facilitating the best one possible for yourself.
⭐ Build in time for reflecting or journaling. I used to (sometimes still do) HATE journaling. But free writing everything you are thinking, feeling, and experiencing can be a game-changer for your mindset, resilience, and accelerate your breakthroughs.
⭐ Ask for help. Friends, family, or trusted colleagues. There is tremendous power in community. Mine has held me together so very many times.
What are your top tips and advice for moving through major mindset shifts? I'd love to know, reply to this email and let me know.
My first EVER book went live this week on Amazon. For less than a latte, you'll walk away with tips for handling your inner saboteur, building your confidence, and retelling your story.

A final plea!
I've been shortlisted for Career Coach of the Year 2024 which is a major achievement that I am hugely proud of. If you'd like to do me a real solid and send a vote my way I'd be so grateful. All you need is an email, and they don't spam you afterwards, which is nice.
